About k2 volleyball

About

our Story.
   our Mission.

K2 Volleyball was founded in 2009 by club directors Christine and Jason Hames as they saw a growing need for a training facility specializing in volleyball in the Knoxville area.  Initially they transformed an old warehouse into a facility including three courts, but in just a few years the club grew and the need for a larger facility quickly arose.  In 2011 K2 Volleyball Club moved to Louisville, TN and transformed a former tennis facility into their new home.  This move allowed for the addition of a fourth indoor court and two outdoor beach courts.
In a short period of time K2 has quickly made a name for itself not only in the southern region, but also on the national level.  This year they will host 9 large tournaments over the course of the season that will draw hundreds of teams from around the nation.  Registration for the 2020 tournament season is currently open through Advanced Event Systems.

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS:

K2 Volleyball Club is currently the premier program for Elite Travel, Club Travel, and Local Travel programs within the southern region with teams at all ages and levels.  The focus lies in developing the total athlete including strength and agility training, individualized positional practices, and team based and technical coaching.  With a staff made up of former and current players, middle school, high school, and college coaches who want to share their love and passion for volleyball combined with the hard work of the K2 athletes many of our teams are competing at the national level.

The K2 Flight Academy is on of the club’s newest and most exciting endeavors.  The Academy will include 1st through 12th graders.  Within each session players will immerse into one hour of volleyball skills training led by master coaches alongside players of their own age and ability.  Then each age division will be broken into teams and will get to play volleyball for the last 30 minutes of each session.

The K2 Beach Program is always an incredibly exciting time.  Each year the season begins in May and will run through July.  Christine Hames, who is a former FIVB player, along with her coaching staff spend time during practice focusing on all training aspects from fundaments to strategy for games.  Over the course of the beach season K2 will host several tournaments giving players a chance to compete against one another.
