Christine is the founder and co-director of K2 Volleyball Club. A native of Australia, Christine represented her country playing on the Australian Junior and Senior National Indoor and Beach Volleyball Teams. She also competed collegiately as a setter at Oregon State University in 1992 and 1993.
Chris’s passion for coaching began in Australia assisting state level teams. She has since had over 25 years of coaching experience at the high school, club, and collegiate level. Chris assisted Maryville College from 2002 – 2003. She has also helped train volleyball camps at the University of Tennesee and the University of Nebraska.
Christine was the Webb High School varsity head volleyball coach from 2010-2019 where she helped lead the Lady Spartans to 7 TSSAA State Championships. She was honored to be named Knoxville’s News Sentinel Prep-Extra Coach of The Year in 2013 & 2015.
Christine is married to K2 Director Jason Hames. Together they have three children, Nicklin, the eldest, is currently the setter at the University of Nebraska, Kayleigh, their middle child, is an Outside Hitter at Pepperdine University, and their son Elijah plays football and baseball at Maryville. All three of their children have played in the K2 program.
J, in his 22nd year of coaching, is the Master Coach for the K2 Gym overseeing all technical training of the elite and travel athletes. As the clubs recruiting coordinator, he has helped place over 70 athletes into collegiate programs from Knoxville. In 2009 he started Tennessee’s first beach volleyball program for club. J has been a personal coach for several professional players, All Americans and a current olympian. He is also the head coach of K2 18 Adidas JOTA, the 2017 AAU bronze medalists in 18 open.
J started his volleyball coaching career in San Diego, California coaching both girls and boys high school varsity teams. He was an assistant coach at Maryville College from 2004 – 2006 where he helped lead the Lady Scots to two GSAC championships and two NCAA appearances. He then served as an assistant coach at the University of Tennessee from 2009-2012. The Lady Vols won the 2011 SEC Championship and had three NCAA tournament appearances during his time there.
J serves on the board for the Juniors Volleyball Association, an organization designed to help promote the game of youth and junior volleyball .
He is married to Christine Hames and they have three children. Nicklin is currently the setter at Nebraska, Kayleigh is an Outside Hitter at Pepperdine, and son Eli plays football and baseball at Maryville. All three of their children are have played in the K2 program.
YOUTH DIRECTOR/OFFICE MANAGER
Deidre is native to Knoxville and a graduate of the University of Tennessee . She is married to current K2 coach Jason Keeble. They have three kids who all love sports. Their daughter Kailey Keeble is currently a setter at the University of Tennessee and played in the K2 Volleyball program and their son Ty is a current member of the boys K2C2 team.
Deidre has been part of the K2 program since 2009 and brings more than 16 years of coaching experience at the club and high school levels. She has coached local high school programs including Alcoa & Webb School of Knoxville and is the current Heritage High School JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant. Deidre also serves as K2’s Youth Director overseeing skill training of all of the 12 and under club teams, In House Programs, Fall Leagues, Beach Programs, and Summer Camps. She returns to K2 for her 9th season as the Head Coach of the 12 Adidas team.
J, Jason returns for his 9th season with K2 Volleyball Club and is the current coach of the 12U Adidas and 16-2 Travel teams. He brings over 10 years of coaching experience at the high school and club levels. He began his high school career at Webb School of Knoxville in 2009 where he helped lead the Lady Spartans to 3 state appearances with 2 state runner up finishes. He is the current varsity head coach at Heritage High School. Jason helped trained summer camp with the University of Tennessee in 2017. He also helps serve as coach to several K2 programs.
He is married to Deidre Keeble and they have three children who all love sports. Their daughter Kailey Keeble is currently a setter at the University of Tennessee and played in the K2 Volleyball program and their son Ty is a current member of the boys K2C2 team.
Brent returns for his 9th season with K2 Volleyball Club and is the current head coach of the K2 13U Adidas team. He brings over 15 years of coaching experience at the middle school, high school and club levels. He was the head coach of Episcopal School of Knoxville from 2011-2015. He then became the varsity head coach at Catholic High School in 2015. In 2016 he helped lead the Lady Fighting Irish to their first TSSAA State Title and received coach of the year honors by Knoxville’s News Sentinal Prep Extra. During his five years as head coach The Lady Irish have made an appearance in the TSSAA State Championship match each year consecutively. Most recently Brent received 2019 coach of the year honors from 5 Star Preps. His daughter, Alexandria Carter, also played in the K2 program.
Cory returns for his 9th season with K2 Volleyball. His passion for the sport has been long lived through years of playing and coaching. He played on the men’s club team at the University of Tennessee from 1989-1992 and 1997-1998 and has enjoyed playing beach volleyball as well. He is the current head varsity volleyball coach for Berean High School. He has three children who all play volleyball. His oldest daughter Lily is an Outside Hitter at the University of Tennessee and was part of the K2 program, his son Boone is part of the K2C2 Boys team, and youngest daughter Darby also plays at K2. Cory brings over 10 years of coaching experience and helps assist training in individuals for all travel and elite teams.
Michelle returns for her 9th season with K2 Volleyball Club. She brings years of coaching experience at the middle school, high school and club levels. She was the head coach at St. John Neumann Catholic Middle School from 2005-2011. Since 2012 Michelle has served as the JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant at Catholic High School. In 2016 Michelle helped lead the Lady Fighting Irish to their first TSSAA State Title. Michelle is the the current assistant coach for K2 13 Adidas.
Andre is returning for his seventh season with K2 Volleyball Club. He brings years of experience at the middle school, high school and club levels. Andre was the head coach for CAK middle school from 2013-2014. He then became the varsity assistant coach for Catholic High School in 2015. In 2016 he helped guide the Lady Fighting Irish to their first TSSAA State Title. Andre is native to Brazil and played for Sao Caetano do Sul, a Brazilian Professional Volleyball Club. He also played collegiate volleyball at Indiana University of Pennsylvania for four years. He has two children; his daughter, Maya, is a current player in the K2 program.
Jaymee returns to K2 for her third season coaching in the travel program. She is a graduate and former volleyball player for West Virginia Institute of Technology where she was the starting setter for 4 years. Jaymee also played for K2 Volleyball prior to her college years and has coached in the In House Program at K2 for 2 seasons as well as 2 seasons of middle school league. She also coached at Charleston Volleyball Club for 1 year.
Natalie returns for her fourth season coaching for K2 Volleyball Club. She was the junior varsity head coach/varsity assistant for South Doyle High School and she also spent four years as the assistant volleyball coach at Signal Mountain Middle School. Natalie has provided her coaching assistance in both the K2 Middle School League and the Travel Program. She
