Coaches Clinic – Jason Williams


K2 is excited to offer a FREE coaches clinic open to all Club Coaches & High School coaches Wednesday February 21st @ K2 Volleyball Club from 4:30-6:30pm

Jason Williams current assistant coach at Baylor University will be conducting the clinic.

Jason Williams is in his 3rd season for the volleyball program, joining the staff in 2015 as the volunteer assistant and then promoted to assistant in the spring before the 2016 season.

Williams serves as the team’s training coordinator, helping plan and run practices, design match preparation and strategy, as well as working with setters and middles.

During the 2017 season, Williams helped guide the Bears to a 12th seed and second round finish in the NCAA Tournament as well as a 2nd place finish in the Big 12, a first in program history.   Williams worked with freshman setter Hannah Lockin and sophomore middle Shelly Fanning who both earned AVCA All American honors.  Williams also trained Big12 and Region Freshman of the Year, Yossiana Pressley.

During the 2016 season, Williams mentored Katie Staiger, AVCA All American and All Region as well as helping guide the Bears to their first NCAA tournament appearance since 2011.

In the 10 years prior to joining Baylor, Williams’ club teams finished top 20 in the nation with eight of those teams finishing in the top 10. In 2014, Williams’ 16s team won the AAU National Championship and the JVA World Challenge. He led three teams to the finals of the USA Junior National Championships in the open division, as well as two third place and four fifth-place finishes.
